Driver safety program
The next AARP Driver Safety course will be Monday, Sept. 8, from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the senior center. The course is the nation’s first and largest driver-refresher course. Using new materials and new videos, the course covers new defensive driving techniques, new laws and regulations, how to deal with aggressive drivers, and how aging affects drivers.
Drivers who attend the class will receive a completion certificate and may be entitled to a discount on automobile insurance (contact your insurance company for details).
AARP membership is not required, and drivers of all ages are invited to attend. The cost to participate is $15 for AARP members and $20 for nonmembers. All checks must be made out to “AARP.” Call 203-577-4166 to register.
