Largay Travel and its travel partners aim to inspire travelers to travel for more than just a vacation. To help them do this, Largay Travel will hold an event based on the words of Hilaire Belloc, “We wander for distraction but we travel for fulfillment,” Wednesday, Oct. 8, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Largay Travel headquarters at 1525 Hamilton Ave. in Waterbury. The event will showcase a number of travel options. The firm has been making travel dreams come true for their clients since 1969 and sees this event as a way to inspire travelers to explore the world differently through its experiential travel partners’ products and services.
While enjoying hors d’oeuvres and liquid refreshments sponsored by Big Five Tours, Quark Expeditions, Princess Cruises, Paul Gauguin Cruises, Backroads and Blantyre in Lenox, Mass., guests can look at brochures, take advantage of a booking incentive and participate in a game or interactive presentation with a small client gift. Breakout sessions in the conference room will offer a 15-minute presentation for those who are more serious about their destination. Travel advisers who pair up with travel partners will talk to guests about their experience with the destination or partner as well as answer any questions about “The Largay Way.”
