Mother of Deidere Farley
Blanche Elizabeth (Esteen) Jones, 74, of Waterbury passed away Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2014, at Waterbury Hospital.
Blanche was born in Tickfaw, La., May 5, 1940, a daughter of the late William Paul Esteen Sr. and the late Lucy Landry Smith. She lived the majority of her life in Danbury and worked at Stop & Shop for over 30 years prior to retiring. She enjoyed music, travel, baking, cooking and spending time with her family and friends.
Blanche is survived by her son, Tyrone Jones of Hamden; daughters, Bettina Jones of Stamford and Deidere Farley of Middlebury; brothers, William Jr. and Kevin; sisters, Alfreda, Jacqueline, Lillian, Gwendolyn, Rosalind and Marilyn; grandchildren, Kevin, John Paul, Jaydon and Ava; great-granddaughter, Olivia; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Benjamin, Gerald and Kenneth.
Her funeral service will be Monday, Dec. 22, 2014, at 5:30 p.m. at the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald-Zembruski Funeral Home at 240 N. Main St. in Naugatuck. Visitation will be Monday evening from 4 p.m. until the time of the service.
