The Middlebury Republican Town Committee (MRTC) has announced its scholarship opportunities for the 2015 graduating class of high school seniors. One $1,000 and two $500 scholarships are being offered. To be considered for these scholarships, applicants must be Middlebury residents who have been accepted to an accredited institution of higher learning.
Applications should include the following:
- Applicant’s Name
- Applicant’s Home Address
- High School Attending
- Date of Graduation
- Letter of Acceptance (copy) from Accredited Institution of Higher Learning applicant is planning to attend
- An Original Essay (about 500 words) on “What Community Service Means to Me.”
The essay should include examples of community service performed independently (preferred) or as part of an organizational group. The essay also should include future plans for performing community service.
Applications must be returned to Rito Albini, 93 Acme Drive, Middlebury, CT 06762 no later than May 9, 2015.
