Loving mother and grandmother
Joan (Iadarola) Lombardi of Waterbury passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 30, 2015, after a brief illness, at St. Mary’s Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Carmen Lombardi.
Joan was born in Waterbury, daughter of the late Vincent and Anna (Vasalo) Iadarola. She was a devoted mother, Nana and great-grandmother. Joan loved nothing more than spending time with her family. Her smile and sense of humor won over everyone she met. Joan loved cooking for her family, especially eggplant parmigiana and banana bread. Her cooking legacy will continue in her family’s kitchens.
Joan is survived by two daughters, Doreen Bequary and her husband, Eric, of Woodbury, Conn., and Sharon Pulaski and her husband, Dr. John Pulaski, of Middlebury, Conn.; seven grandchildren, Jay Pulaski and his wife, Jen; Cara Tyminski and her husband, Ethan; Lauren Hamm and her husband, Jason; Dr. Richard Possemato and his husband, Dr. Albert Chan; Brittany, Morgan and Taylor Keith; and five great-grandchildren, Makenna Valenzuela, Lucas and Logan Pulaski, Andrew Possemato-Chan and Noah Tyminski.
Her funeral will be Friday, July 3, at 9 a.m. from Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Homes at 430 Chase Parkway in Waterbury to St. John of the Cross Church in Middlebury for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. A calling hour will be held Friday morning from 8 to 9 a.m. at the funeral home.
