Vaszauskas Farm in Middlebury is taking call-in orders for freshly picked escarole that can be purchased at the farm stand at 519 Middlebury Road across from the Shell station the day it is picked. Call the farm at 203-758-2765 to order your escarole.
Escarole is generally not sold at the stand because it needs to be bought so quickly after it is picked. Picking it on order gives customers escarole that may well be the freshest they have ever bought.
