The Warner Theater will audition musicians for the band, Arsenal, in “Rock of Ages,” which will be presented by the Warner Stage Company beginning Feb. 6, 2016, on the Main Stage.
Auditions by appointment will be Monday, Nov. 16, and Tuesday, Nov. 17, at 7 p.m.

They need the following musicians: lead guitar, rhythm guitar, bass guitar and drums. Auditioners should be prepared to play one minute of a fully memorized rock style song (80’s style preferably, but not from “Rock of Ages”), This should be something that you are very comfortable with, not something you just learned the day before! It is important that you perform your song, not just stand and deliver – THIS IS 80’s ROCK!
After making your audition appointment, you will be sent a short excerpt from the show to prepare in addition to your audition song. Musicians must be able to read sheet music, so a brief sight-reading exercise may also be required at your audition.
Rehearsals will be Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings beginning Nov. 29. The initial read-through will be Thursday, Nov. 19, at 7 p.m. Musicians will not be required at every rehearsal. Because of the nature of the production, the musicians actually play a role and interact on several occasions with the actors on stage. The band will be costumed and required to attend some rehearsals in addition to tech week.
They would like to have the band present for the read-through Sunday, Nov. 29, to meet the cast and learn about the production and then return to rehearse with the cast mid-January. Separate rehearsals may be held with the music director prior to rehearsing with the cast. Musicians will receive a stipend.
