Middlebury residents are among those who now get parcels delivered to their doors on Sundays. Middlebury’s mail is handled through the Naugatuck Post Office, and Naugatuck Postmaster Douglas Kalahar said they started handling Sunday deliveries early in November. Kalahar said the carrier who comes to your door with the package may arrive at an unexpected time and may not be the one you see making your daily deliveries.
He asks residents to do the following:
- Please secure your pets before you open the door. A dog that pushes past you through the door may nip the carrier.
- Please keep your driveway and walkway clear.
- If you have a special place you want parcels left if you are not home, please call the Naugatuck Post Office at 203-729-3421 and let them know.
