Webster Bank announced Feb. 11, 2016, that its Customer Care Center (C3) in Wallingford, Conn., is now on a 24-hour-a-day, seven-day-a-week schedule. Previously, the C3 was open seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Webster said the timing of the 24/7 launch was especially important with the opening of 17 new banking centers in greater Boston. C3 was needed to help open accounts and take credit card and loan applications. Some of the most frequently asked questions so far have been related to balance and transaction inquiries, as well as card activations.
“We’re very excited to have started offering this expanded service to our customers,” said Amy Jakobeit, senior vice president and C3 director. “The response from customers has been overwhelmingly positive. This change sends the message that putting the customer first is what matters most and that we are available to help our customers whenever we’re needed.”
