Pomperaug High School’s softball team, the Lady Panthers, and its baseball team, the Panthers, both emerged victorious from their first-round games at the South West Conference (SWC) Saturday, May 21.
The Lady Panthers beat Bethel 6 to 0 while the Panthers beat Weston 2 to 1. We will publish game details as soon as we can. Both teams now move on to the semifinals.
The Lady Panthers will face Masuk Tuesday, May 24, at 7 p.m. at DeLuca Field in Stratford. The winner of that game will face the winner of the New Milford/Newtown game in the finals Wednesday, May 25, at 7 p.m. at DeLuca Field in Stratford.
The Panthers will face New Fairfield Monday, May 23, at 7 p.m. at Penders Field in Stratford. The winner of that game will face the winner of the New Milford/Masuk game in the finals Wednesday, May 25, at 7 p.m. The location of the final game will be either Bethel High School or Penders Field in Stratford.
