The Middlebury Knights of Columbus Council No. 3992 (KoC) presented a $3,019.44 check to the Rev. Dennis J. Vincenzo on July 5, 2016, at St. John of the Cross Church in Middlebury. The money will be used to help with church repairs.
The check represented proceeds from the KoC’s first barbecued chicken takeout dinner, at which they sold 300 boxed meals consisting of a barbecued half chicken, baked potato, cole slaw, baked beans and a roll. Organizer Lou Orsini said the event was very successful and will be expanded next year.
