#MIDDLEBURY
The last day of the 34th Connecticut Cactus and Succulent Society Show is today, Sunday, April 2, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event includes a judged show featuring hundreds of cactus and succulent plants from all over the world.
Entrance is free, as is parking. Fifty free plants, one per family, will be given away to the first 50 families to enter the show. Vendors will come from as far away as Florida and will sell a broad selection of plants and related gardening materials. Plant auctions will be held at least twice daily. Twenty-minute lectures will focus on growing and caring for the plants. Lecture topics include “Cactus ABCs,” “Growing Succulents Under Lights” and “Cold-frame Cacti – Really!”
Find the show and sale at Naugatuck Valley Community College at 750 Chase Parkway in Waterbury in the fifth-floor cafeteria of the Art and Music Center building. The show is handicapped accessible. See ctcactussociety.org.
