Middlebury Police Chief Fran Dabbo advises residents the Towantic Power Plant, the new gas power-generating plant in Oxford, will conduct an alarm test tomorrow, Friday, Oct. 27, at noon. They will be testing the decibel level of the alarm.
No verbal announcement will be played during the test. A 15- to 20-second beep will be sounded. Jamie Pike, a representative, said they turned down the noise level of the alarm and they want to test it at the new decibel level.
