As of 7:30 a.m., Middlebury Public Works Director Dan Norton said the following roads are closed due to trees on power lines: Burr Hall Road, Upper Whittemore Road, Marney Drive, South Street below Wooster Road, Wooster Road and Leonard Road.
Norton said Public Works employees responded to 19 different calls shortly after midnight and were able to clear roads where live wires were not involved. The remaining road closures are due to power lines in the trees, and Norton said they will remain closed until Eversource is able to deal with the downed lines.
