Freelance artist, animal welfare supporter
Thursday, March 29, 2018, Kathleen Dumont of Waterbury passed away peacefully at the age of 47 years. Kathy will always be remembered by her father, Richard Dumont and stepmother, Michele Berthaiume of Middlebury; her brother, James Dumont of Waterbury and her longtime companion, Paul Gugliotti, of Waterbury.
A native of Middlebury, Kathy graduated from Pomperaug High School and attended Naugatuck Valley Community College. She spent most of her adult life working as a freelance artist. She continually supported animal rights and well-being.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, April 4, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home at 690 Woodtick Road in Wolcott. Burial in Lake Elise Cemetery will be private. Visit dellavecchiafh.com for online tributes and directions.
Throughout her life, Kathy aided homeless pets. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Brass City Rescue Alliance, 2 Service Road, Middlebury, CT 06762.
