Loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister
Mary (Perugini) LaPorta, 82, of Middlebury passed away peacefully Sunday, April 22, 2018, at Waterbury Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph A. LaPorta Sr.
Mary was born in Waterbury, Conn., Jan. 23, 1936, a daughter of the late Giuseppe and Concetta (Guerrera) Perugini. She was a graduate of Waterbury Catholic High School. She was a member of the Naugatuck YMCA and enjoyed taking trips to the casino.
She leaves her son, Joseph A. LaPorta Jr. and his partner, Kerri of Middlebury; three daughters: Mary Hupper and her husband, Charles, of Plantsville, Linda Miskin of Terryville, Janice Agbayani and her husband, Lawrence, of Niantic; a sister, Elena Viega of Middlebury; a brother, Luigi Perugini of Middlebury; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted Friday, April 27, 2018, at 9 a.m. at the Connecticut State Veterans Cemetery on Bow Lane in Middletown, Conn. There are no calling hours. Chase Parkway Memorial / Albini Family Funeral Home of Waterbury, Conn. has been entrusted with arrangements.
