We encourage readers to get out and vote tomorrow. Middlebury polls will open at 6 a.m. Wednesday, May 2, and remain open until 8 p.m. Voting will be at Shepardson Community Center at 1172 Whittemore Road in Middlebury.
The following four questions will be on the ballot:
Question 1
“Shall the 2018-2019 proposed Town of Middlebury Municipal Budget in the amount of $10,939,178 be approved?” Yes / No
Question 2
“Shall the proposed 2018-2019 Budget of the Pomperaug Regional School District #15 in the amount of $69,103,829 be adopted?” Yes / No
Question 3
“Shall the Town of Middlebury appropriate $780,000 to Account 01-74-90-7200 (Straw Pond Land Purchase) in the General Fund from Account 01-00-00-3707 (Unassigned Fund Balance) $580,000 in the General Fund and $200,000 from Account 30-71-20-6092 (Reserve for Town Facility Improvement/Land/Open Space in Reserve Fund)?” Yes / No
Question 4
“Shall the Town of Middlebury appropriate $200,000 to Account 01-74-80-7000 (Upgrades to Town Facilities Reserve) in the General Fund from Account 01-00-00-3707 (Unassigned Fund Balance) in the General Fund?” Yes / No
