Q: I was watching “Bridge to Terabithia” the other day with my kids, and it made me wonder whatever happened to the young actress who played May Belle. She was so good! – Katie R., via email
A: Bailee Madison has been a busy actress since the family-adventure film of 2007. She’s been in tons of stuff, including “Wizards of Waverly Place,” “Trophy Wife” and “The Fosters.” Presently you can catch her in the “Good Witch” series on Hallmark (which airs Sunday nights at 9/8c), where she plays Catherine Bell’s daughter, Grace. I spoke with her recently, and she told me about the joy of co-starring in a blockbuster like “Terabithia,” as well as how much fun it is to play a witch’s daughter on “Good Witch.”
Of “Terabithia,” Bailee raved: “I was in New Zealand for over six months, and it’s one of the most beautiful places I’ve visited.The black-sand beaches and just the culture – it was such a special time for me. That movie is so iconic to so many people on so many levels, and I got to be a part of bringing a book to life. Now that I’m older, I’ve read the book and I’ve talked to kids who are reading the book – it’s such a beautiful thing that I got to be a part of it. I’m so grateful.”
She’s also grateful to be co-starring in the hit show “Good Witch,” and she told me a bit about this season. “I have to say without a doubt this is my favorite journey for Grace. She’s a very good girl; she doesn’t go out. She’s that picture-perfect daughter who every mother dreams of having. But she’s also a teenager who’s dealing with newfound insecurities. She’s in love for the first time. I think what’s cool is she’s a lot more imperfect. I found it really refreshing to get to play that.”

Q: Can you give me any news about the next season of “Stranger Things”? – Kyle T., via Twitter
A: As you wish, Kyle. Season three brings us Wesley/The Dread Pirate Roberts (of “The Princess Bride”) himself when Cary Elwes joins the cast as Mayor Kline. He’s described as “handsome, slick and sleazy … your classic ’80s politician.” Also coming aboard is Jake Busey, playing Bruce, “a journalist for ‘The Hawkins Post’ with questionable morals and a sick sense of humor.” This new season also will bring us eight brand-new episodes; however, there is talk that Netflix might not drop the series until early 2019 instead of its usual Halloween release. I’ll keep you posted on that.
Q: I need more “GLOW”! – Jennie F., via email
A: You’re gonna get more “GLOW,” and soon! The 10-episode season two drops June 29 on Netflix. And if the show’s premiere-reveal video is any indication, season two will be just as fun and outrageous as the first.
