Despite a less than ideal weather forecast, Boy Scout Troop 5 will be selling Krispy Kreme doughnuts Saturday, Oct. 27, from 8 a.m. until they sell out at the Middlebury Transfer Station at 1021 Straits Turnpike in Middlebury. Proceeds from this fundraiser, during which a dozen doughnuts will sell for $10, will help the Scouts get to their High Adventure trip in 2019. The Scouts will travel to the Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico for leadership training, survival skills and conservation efforts.
