Ricky L. Guerrette, 59, of Middlebury, entered into the gates of heaven on Friday, March 22, 2019, at St. Mary’s Hospital, surrounded by his loving family, after a brief illness.
Ricky was born in Waterbury Sept. 28, 1959, son of the late Clifford L. Guerrette and Lorraine (Cordeau) Guerrette of Middlebury. Ricky proudly served the U.S military in the Army for three years active duty and three years in the reserves. During his time in the military, he learned to cook, which was his passion. He also loved to work on his 1956 Chevy pickup, which he drove home from Arizona after being discharged from the military.
Besides his mother, Lorraine, Ricky leaves behind to cherish his memory his companion and mother of his daughter Jillian, Holly Hafersat of Waterbury; and his three children, Vanessa Guerrette of Naugatuck, Ashley Cook of Rhode Island and Jillian Guerrette of Waterbury. He also leaves behind his three siblings, Lori Gibilsco and her husband, John, of Wolcott; Kenneth Guerrette of Middlebury; and Jerry Guerrette of N.C.; his three grandchildren, Kalib, Derek and Damin as well as several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, March 26, 2019 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Brookside Memorial, The Albini Family Funeral Home and Crematory at 200 Benson Road in Middlebury, Conn. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
