Bad weather has postponed the swearing-in ceremony for Middlebury’s newly elected officials. The town had scheduled the ceremony for Monday, Dec. 2, at Shepardson Community Center in Middlebury. Assistant Town Clerk Brigitte Bessette said a new date has not yet been set as officials are still being contacted.
In the meantime, since the officials do need to be sworn in by the Town Clerk, Bessette said they are being asked to come by Town Hall so Town Clerk Edith Salisbury can swear them in.
If and when a new date for the public ceremony is set, the newspaper will post that information here.
