The same opportunity will be offered Thursday, March 19, with two lunches for Thursday and Friday. Specific times, menus and additional details are available on at http://www.region15.org/content/2002/2658/9356.aspx. Click on “Food Services during School Closure.”
Free WiFi for students
Region 15 Superintendent Josh Smith said three providers are offering free WiFi for 60 days, starting March 16, 2020, to Region 15 students who need it for school work during school closures. The providers are:
Spectrum (Charter): Call 1-844-488-8395

Comcast: Call 1-855-877-5573
Middlebury Public Library
The library is offering limited services confined to the “lobby” area between the outer and inner doors at the library. It is set up with rolling carts that hold books requested by patrons, coloring sheets for children, tax forms, and free jigsaw puzzles.
Patrons may request books through Select From Home Service between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. The library staff will then place the books on the rolling carts for patrons to drop by and pick up between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Restaurants
As of 8 pm Monday, March 16, Governor Ned Lamont ordered all restaurants to close to dine-in customers. They can continue to offer takeout and delivery. We will post a restaurant list on the website later today.
First Selectman Edward B. St. John said Monday, “The town is open for business. We are doing our best to meet CDD guidelines and stay open. We need to promote our businesses.”
As part of this effort, the town made up signs for the town’s 22 restaurants that let people know the restaurant is still in business (see photo). Zoning Enforcement Officer Curtis Bosco was out Monday delivering signs to local restaurants.
