At 4 p.m. Thursday, state officials said there were 1,012 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Connecticut as of 1:30 p.m. Thursday, March 26. This is an increase of 137 cases over the 815 the day before at 2 p.m. The number of confirmed cases in Middlebury – one – is unchanged.
The groups with the largest number of cases were ages 50 – 59 (204 cases) followed by ages 40 – 49 (154 cases) and two groups that each have 151 cases, ages 30 – 39 and ages 60 – 69 .
The groups with the largest number of hospitalizations were ages 70-79 (30 cases) followed by ages 80 and older (27 cases) and ages 60 – 69 (23 cases). However, there was at least one hospitalization in every age group.

- Litchfield County: 44
- Middlesex County: 18
- New Haven County: 156
- New London County: 13
- Tolland County: 33
- Windham County: 3
The state reports 125 patients were hospitalized, and 21 have died. A state public health lab has tested 1,320 patients, and 193, or 15%, of those tested positive. Statewide, more than 6,500 tests have been reported.
Cases in Middlebury and abutting towns are: Middlebury – 1, Naugatuck – 6, Oxford – 5, Southbury – 6, Woodbury – 2, Watertown – 1, Waterbury – 30.
