William H. “Billy” Honegger III, 58, of Waterbury passed away Saturday, April 11, 2020, at Waterbury Gardens. Mr. Honegger was born August 28, 1961, in Waterbury, a son of Erma (Fairchild) Honegger and the late William H. Honegger Jr. Billy was a graduate of Pomperaug High School and a former athlete in Special Olympics, where he won many medals. He lived with his parents in Middlebury until moving to the nursing home where his parents later joined him.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his brothers, Lawrence “Larry” Honegger, his wife Joan, and their children, Stacy and Paul; David Honegger Sr., his wife Melanie, and their children Katelyn, Rachael, and David Jr. and his girlfriend, Erica Wallace, and their son, Oslo Honegger; and Dora Honegger and her children, Christopher and Casey.
A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family in Grove Cemetery. There are no calling hours. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Waterbury is assisting with arrangements.
