At 4 p.m. Friday, Connecticut state officials said there were 16,809 confirmed COVID-19 cases in the state as of 11:30 a.m. Friday, April 17. This is an increase of 925 cases over the 15,884 the day before at 11:30 a.m. The number of confirmed cases in Middlebury remained at 19.
On Friday, 1,946 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized, and 1,036 had died.
