At 4 p.m. Monday, Connecticut state officials said there were 19,815 confirmed COVID-19 cases in the state as of 2:30 p.m. Monday, April 20. This is an increase of 1,853 cases over the 17,962 the day before at 12:30 p.m. The number of confirmed cases in Middlebury increased to 21 from 19.

On Monday, 1,919 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized, and 1,331 had died.

Cases in Middlebury and abutting towns were: Middlebury – 21, Naugatuck – 110, Oxford – 48, Southbury – 99, Woodbury – 24, Watertown – 54, Waterbury – 872.
