#Middlebury #Region15 #Board of Education
The Regional School District 15 Board of Education (BoE) agenda for its special meeting tonight, Monday, April 20, at 7:30 p.m. includes possible action to approve the proposed 2020-2021 school budget. Normally, BoE approval is followed by referendums in the region’s towns of Middlebury and Southbury, but there will be no referendums this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The BoE will vote on the school budget; taxpayers will not.
The agenda for tonight’s meeting calls for a presentation of the adjusted proposed 2020-2021 budget that reflects the implications of the pandemic, followed by comments from citizens, each of whom will be given three minutes to comment on the proposed budget. Click on the link below to tonight’s agenda for instructions on how to comment during this live stream presentation.
Following public comment, the board will discuss the budget and possible take action on it.
