On Tuesday, May 26, 2020, Connecticut state officials said there were 41,303 confirmed COVID-19 cases in the state as of Monday, May 25, at 8:30 p.m. This is an increase of 430 cases over the 40,873 on Sunday, May 24, at 8:30 p.m. The number of confirmed cases in Middlebury increased to 46.

On Monday at 8:30 p.m., 694 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized, a decrease of 12 patients, and 3,769 people had died, an increase of 27 deaths.

Cases in Middlebury and abutting towns were: Middlebury – 46, Naugatuck – 361, Oxford – 78, Southbury – 165, Woodbury – 42, Watertown – 139, Waterbury – 1,829.
