The Middlebury Parks and Rec department sent out a notice saying MRA season passes will go on sale Monday, June 1, and Boat Rack Lottery applications need to be submitted by Tuesday, June 2. It also said both boating and swimming will be allowed the weekend of June 6 and 7, and the MRA will open for the season Saturday, June 13. Details are listed below:
MRA Season Passes will go on sale Monday, June 1!
Season passes will be available to residents in the P&R office between the hours of 9 am and 4 pm.
Due to COVID-19 precautions they will permit only one person in the office at a time.
Please adhere to the following when purchasing your pass:
- If you have not registered for a Parks & Recreation program since October 1, 2019, either online or in the office OR you did not purchase an MRA season pass last year, please go to the website and create an account before coming to the office. If you have any questions, please call the office at 203-758-2520, extension 702.
- Remain in your car when you arrive in the parking lot @Shepardson Community Center.
- Call 203-758-2520, ext. 702, to let them know you’re there. They will call residents in, one at a time, in the order they receive phone calls to process your pass.
- Only one family member in the office please.
- Please have all necessary documentation with you. If you are a first-time pass holder you will need to provide your car registration, driver’s license, and proof of residency. If you are renewing your pass and your license plate number has changed, they will need a copy of the new registration.
- Please have your payment ready. They accept cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover cards.
Boat Rack Lottery Wednesday, June 3!
- Submit your Boat Rack Lottery application by Tuesday, June 2.
- Participants will be notified of the results within 48 hours.
- Boat rack rentals must be paid in full on/before Wednesday, June 17.
- Any payments not received by the due date will result in loss of boat rack and rack will be offered to the next person on the waitlist.
- Any resident receiving a boat rack must have a valid 2020 MRA season pass.
- Boat Rack Rental fee is $75/rack.
Saturday & Sunday, June 6 & 7 – The MRA will be open for boating and swimming activities.
Open 10 a.m. to sunset. Beach will open for swimming at 11 a.m.
Saturday, June 13 – MRA officially opens for the season!!!
Season runs June 13 through Labor Day.
Weekdays open 11 a.m. to sunset. Beach will open for swimming at 12 noon.
Weekends open 10 a.m. to sunset. Beach will open for swimming at 11 a.m.
Rain Policy: If it is raining at 12 p.m., the MRA will not open
Fees: $165 Family Pass
$45 Senior
$95 Single Pass
$10 Fireman
$10 per additional sticker for family, single and firemen pass holders only
Seniors 65 and older are eligible to receive ONE pass for a fee of $45, ONE Senior pass per household. Only household residents age 65 and older are eligible to use this pass.
An extra car sticker for seniors is subject to the $165 family pass fee.
***Please Note: Due to COVID-19 precautions only pass holders and Middlebury residents with day passes will be permitted entrance to the MRA for the 2020 season. No guests, no exceptions.
