Missing your yoga, pilates or exercise class? The Woodbury Parks & Recreation Department is offering a variety of online classes through the GoToMeeting app. They also are offering an outdoor boot camp at Three Rivers Park. Sign up online and get started!

Senior classes also are being offered. They are listed after the regular classes.

Register: Mail $10 check (made out to Town of Woodbury) to the Woodbury Senior Center at 281 Main Street South, Woodbury, CT 06798 or drop your payment off at the center in the drop off/pick up bin located on the bench outside.

KRIPALU VINYASA YOGA Moves through active, breath-guided flowing postures, allowing students to fully embody alignment and movement both energetically and physically. The sequences integrate standing, hip openers, forward bends, twists, back bends, and restorative postures while strengthening and stretching muscles, increasing bone density, releasing tension, and centering both body and mind.

PILATES MAT A Pilates based fitness class with a focus on strengthening and lengthening key muscles of the pelvis, ribcage, shoulder girdle, spine, back and abdominals.  Its benefits include a healthier back, stronger pelvic floor, increased bone density, greater postural awareness, better breathing, a stronger core and greater flexibility.

NUTRITION FOR HEALTH & WEIGHT LOSS Educates on what to eat, how much to eat and why to eat. It’s important to know these things because why, what and how much encourages healthy food choices and correct portions to reduce the likelihood that you will get sick! This class includes a nutrition manual you will access on google docs and requires a 15 minute virtual consultation with Megan that you will complete by June 5.

BOOT CAMP is a challenging circuit style mix of functional training and cardio timed drills for a total body workout. The focus is on muscle and core strength, cardiovascular endurance and flexibility. A great workout before you start your day or head out for work! The class meets at 3 Rivers on Jacks Bridge Road in Woodbury. In the event of rain class will be held in the virtual format. An in-person rain date has been scheduled as well.
