On Tuesday, June 9, 2020, Connecticut state officials said there were 44,179 COVID-19 cases in the state as of Monday, June 8, at 8:30 p.m. This is an increase of 87 cases over the 44,092 on Sunday, June 7, at 8:30 p.m. The total number of cases in Middlebury remained at 44.

On Monday at 8:30 p.m., 293 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized, a decrease of 31 patients, and 4,097 people had died, an increase of 13 deaths.

Cases in Middlebury and abutting towns were: Middlebury – 41 confirmed and 3 probable, Naugatuck – 370 confirmed and 9 probable, Oxford – 76 confirmed and 3 probable, Southbury – 182 confirmed and 6 probable, Woodbury – 46 confirmed and 1 probable, Watertown – 139 confirmed and 6 probable, Waterbury – 1,862 confirmed and 92 probable.
