Nearby fireworks displays this year are in Naugatuck and in Waterbury. The annual Middlebury fireworks display at Quassy Amusement Park has been canceled.
Oxford’s fireworks, part of the Quaker Farms Fire Co. Annual Carnival also have been canceled, but there is a possibility the carnival will be held later this summer.

Naugatuck: Thursday, July 2, at 9:30 p.m., see Naugatuck’s Fireworks Celebration at Old Firehouse Road in downtown Naugatuck. Park for free at the Naugatuck Event Center. The rain date is July 3. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be no food, entertainment and family-oriented activities this year.
Waterbury will launch the City of Waterbury Fireworks Display from Holy Land Sunday, July 5, at 9:15 p.m. To promote social distancing, viewers will be prohibited from viewing the fireworks in the Brass Mill Center Mall parking lots.
