On Tuesday, October 6, 2020, Connecticut state officials said on Monday, October 5, at 8:30 p.m. there were 59,241 COVID-19 cases in the state. This is an increase of 121 cases since Sunday, October 4. The total number of cases in Middlebury remained at 61.

On Monday at 8:30 p.m., 129 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized, the same as on Sunday, and deaths numbered 4,521, an increase of 4 deaths.

Cases in Middlebury and abutting towns were: Middlebury – 55 confirmed and 6 probable, Naugatuck – 466 confirmed and 18 probable, Oxford – 92 confirmed and 4 probable, Southbury – 217 confirmed and 6 probable, Woodbury – 65 confirmed and 2 probable, Watertown – 184 confirmed and 9 probable, and Waterbury – 2,450 confirmed and 108 probable.
