On Wednesday, October 21, 2020, Connecticut state officials said on Tuesday, October 20, at 8:30 p.m., there were 64,871 COVID-19 cases in the state. This is an increase of 416 cases since Monday, October 19. The total number of cases in Middlebury increased for the fifth day in a row, to 77 (+2).

On Tuesday at 8:30 p.m., 213 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized, a decrease of 4 patients, and deaths numbered 4,567, an increase of 8 deaths.

Cases in Middlebury and abutting towns were: Middlebury – 71 confirmed and 6 probable, Naugatuck – 516 confirmed and 18 probable, Oxford – 96 confirmed and 4 probable, Southbury – 229 confirmed and 5 probable, Woodbury – 70 confirmed and 2 probable, Watertown – 222 confirmed and 9 probable, and Waterbury – 2,716 confirmed and 115 probable.
