Middlebury’s total number of cases rose to 86 (+5) in the latest report from state health officials. On Wednesday, October 28, 2020, Connecticut state officials said on Tuesday, October 27, at 8:30 p.m., there were 69,127 COVID-19 cases in the state. This is an increase of 490 cases since Monday, October 26.

On Tuesday at 8:30 p.m., 309 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized, an increase of 17 patients, and deaths numbered 4,604, an increase of 9 deaths.

Cases in Middlebury and abutting towns were: Middlebury – 80 confirmed and 6 probable, Naugatuck – 539 confirmed and 22 probable, Oxford – 106 confirmed and 5 probable, Southbury – 236 confirmed and 6 probable, Woodbury – 78 confirmed and 2 probable, Watertown – 251 confirmed and 12 probable, and Waterbury – 2,903 confirmed and 120 probable.
