On Thursday at 8:30 p.m., 1.017 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized, an increase of 49 patients, and deaths numbered 4,961, an increase of 35 deaths.
Cumulative cases in Middlebury and abutting towns were: Middlebury – 162 confirmed (+6) and 18 probable (+2 probable cases), Naugatuck – 995 confirmed and 70 probable, Oxford – 212 confirmed and 17 probable, Southbury – 387 confirmed and 24 probable, Woodbury – 170 confirmed and 10 probable, Watertown – 563 confirmed and 54 probable, and Waterbury – 5,051 confirmed and 365 probable.
