On Sunday at 8:30 p.m., 1,098 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized, an increase of 81 patients, and deaths numbered 5,020, an increase of 59 deaths.
Cumulative cases in Middlebury and abutting towns were: Middlebury – 173 confirmed (+11) and 18 probable (no new probable cases), Naugatuck – 1,071 confirmed and 72 probable, Oxford – 230 confirmed and 17 probable, Southbury – 415 confirmed and 23 probable, Woodbury – 177 confirmed and 11 probable, Watertown – 630 confirmed and 60 probable, and Waterbury – 5,375 confirmed and 371 probable.
