In their first report since Friday, December 4, 2020, Connecticut state officials on Monday, December 7, said on Sunday, December 6, at 8:30 p.m., there were 135,844 COVID-19 cases in the state. This is an increase of 8,129 cases since Thursday, December 2 (reported on Friday).

On Sunday at 8:30 p.m., 1,183 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized, an increase of 33 patients, and deaths numbered 5,224, an increase of 78 deaths.

Cumulative cases in Middlebury and abutting towns were: Middlebury – 217 confirmed (+30) and 18 probable (0 new probable cases), Naugatuck – 1,281 confirmed and 76 probable, Oxford – 287 confirmed and 14 probable, Southbury – 472 confirmed and 28 probable, Woodbury – 225 confirmed and 12 probable, Watertown – 802 confirmed and 67 probable, and Waterbury – 6,300 confirmed and 437 probable.
