On Thursday, March 11, 2021, Connecticut state officials said from Sunday, March 7, 2021, at 8:30 p.m. to Wednesday, March 10, 2021, at 8:30 p.m., COVID-19 cases in the state rose to 289,382. This is an increase of 1,986 cases over three days. The state daily test positivity rate as of Wednesday, March 10, 2021, at 8:30 p.m. was 2.36%, down from 2.63% Sunday, March 7, 2021, at 8:30 p.m.

On Wednesday at 8:30 p.m., 383 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized, a decrease of 5 patients since Sunday, and deaths numbered 7,761, an increase of 36 deaths.

Cumulative cases in Middlebury and abutting towns were: Middlebury – 544 confirmed (+2) and 57 probable (+1), Naugatuck – 2,639 confirmed and 223 probable, Oxford – 705 confirmed and 48 probable, Southbury – 1,056 confirmed and 119 probable, Woodbury – 465 confirmed and 50 probable, Watertown – 1,819 confirmed and 202 probable, and Waterbury – 12,048 confirmed and 996 probable.
