On Monday, March 15, 2021, Connecticut state officials said from Wednesday, March 10, 2021, at 8:30 p.m. to Sunday, March 14, 2021, at 8:30 p.m., COVID-19 cases in the state rose to 293,102. This is an increase of 3,720 cases over four days. The state daily test positivity rate as of Sunday, March 14, 2021, at 8:30 p.m. was 2.95%, up from 2.36% Wednesday, March 10, 2021, at 8:30 p.m.
On Sunday at 8:30 p.m., 407 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized, an increase of 24 patients since Wednesday, and deaths numbered 7,788, an increase of 27 deaths.
Cumulative cases in Middlebury and abutting towns were: Middlebury – 549 confirmed (+5) and 55 probable (-2), Naugatuck – 2,667 confirmed and 234 probable, Oxford – 715 confirmed and 52 probable, Southbury – 1,066 confirmed and 127 probable, Woodbury – 478 confirmed and 49 probable, Watertown – 1,843 confirmed and 203 probable, and Waterbury – 12,217 confirmed and 1,000 probable.
