This is an increase of 4,187 cases over four days. The state daily test positivity rate as of Sunday, April 4, 2021, at 8:30 p.m. was 3.28%, down from 4.45% Wednesday, March 31, 2021, at 8:30 p.m.
On Sunday at 8:30 p.m., 484 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized, a decrease of 8 patients since Wednesday, and deaths numbered 7,923, an increase of 23 deaths.
Cumulative cases in Middlebury and abutting towns were: Middlebury – 585 confirmed (+10) and 66 probable (+3), Naugatuck – 2,921 confirmed and 286 probable, Oxford – 790 confirmed and 71 probable, Southbury – 1,150 confirmed and 177 probable, Woodbury – 536 confirmed and 59 probable, Watertown – 2,025 confirmed and 262 probable, and Waterbury – 13,303 confirmed and 1,327 probable.
