- The cumulative number of cases (confirmed and probable) in Middlebury rose to 681 from 674, an increase of 7 cases, in the latest report from state health officials.
- Middlebury reported no new deaths from COVID-19; total deaths remain at 19.
On Thursday, April 15, 2021, Connecticut state officials said from Sunday, April 11, 2021, at 8:30 p.m. to Wednesday, April 14, 2021, at 8:30 p.m., COVID-19 cases in the state rose to 328,000. This is an increase of 3,429 cases over three days. The state daily test positivity rate as of Wednesday, April 14, 2021, at 8:30 p.m. was 2.04%, down from 3.02% Sunday, April 11, 2021, at 8:30 p.m.

On Wednesday at 8:30 p.m., 505 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized, a decrease of 19 patients since Sunday, and deaths numbered 7,990, an increase of 50 deaths.
Cumulative cases in Middlebury and abutting towns were: Middlebury – 605 confirmed (+3) and 76 probable (+ 4), Naugatuck – 3,031 confirmed and 305 probable, Oxford – 812 confirmed and 75 probable, Southbury – 1,192 confirmed and 201 probable, Woodbury – 548 confirmed and 67 probable, Watertown – 2,099 confirmed and 270 probable, and Waterbury – 13,837 confirmed and 1,404 probable.
