Loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather

Mr. Klarence “Bub” Radke, 93, formerly of Middlebury, passed away Monday, October 19, 2020, at the Avow Hospice Center in Naples, Florida. He was the loving husband of the late Nelly (Rinaldi) Radke who passed away in 2010.

Klarence was born in Plymouth, Connecticut, September 13, 1927, son of the late Carl and Emily Radke. He attended Webster Grammar School and was a graduate of Leavenworth High School. He served his country honorably during World War II in the U.S. Marine Corps. He worked for Northeast Utilities for over 36 years until his retirement in 1991.

Klarence enjoyed bowling and golf (he was on several different leagues), playing cards with his friends and co-workers, and vacationing in Florida with his wife, Nelly, and the family. He was a long-time member of the King Solomon’s Lodge No. 7 AF & AM in Woodbury, Connecticut.

He leaves his children, Robert Radke of Middlebury and Janice Heiner and her husband, Edward, of Naples, Florida; his six loving grandchildren, Michael, Ryan and Corey Radke and Robert, David and Jennifer Heiner, and four great-grandchildren.

All services are private. There are no calling hours. A graveside service with military honors will be held at Calvary Cemetery at a later date. Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home at 430 Chase Parkway in Waterbury has been entrusted with Klarence’s services.
