Rusty Bona kindly shared this photo of a Memorial Day tribute to two sons of Middlebury who were killed in action serving our country. The tribute will be on display by the Middlebury Police Department on Southford Road until Sunday, May 30.
The photo on the left is of Sgt. Thomas D. Dwyer, U.S. Air Force, who was killed in action in Vietnam in 1975.
The photo on the right is of Cpl. Edward Frederick Grandpre, U.S. Army, who was killed in action in Vietnam in 1969.
We remember them with sadness for their loss and gratitude for their service to our country.
