Due to inclement weather forecast to last all day Sunday, May 30, Middlebury First Selectman Edward B. St. John announced the Memorial Day parade scheduled for 5 p.m. Sunday will be postponed to 5 p.m. Monday, May 31. The Veterans’ reception at 4 p.m. at the corner of Bronson Drive also will be held Monday.
The Lions Club Memorial Day ceremony at Middlebury Cemetery, scheduled for noon Sunday, May 30, has been canceled and there will be no ceremony Monday.
We have reached out to the Historical Society asking if the open house planned for Sunday also will be moved to Monday, but we have not yet heard back from them.
