On Wednesday at 8:30 p.m., 71 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized, a decrease of 1 patient since Sunday, and deaths numbered 8,260, an increase of 7 deaths.

Cumulative cases in Middlebury and abutting towns were: Middlebury – 628 confirmed and 90 probable, Naugatuck – 3,195 confirmed and 341 probable, Oxford – 852 confirmed and 91 probable, Southbury – 1,235 confirmed and 224 probable, Woodbury – 566 confirmed and 79 probable, Watertown – 2,194 confirmed and 309 probable, and Waterbury – 14,826 confirmed and 1,649 probable.
