The state daily test positivity rate as of Monday, October 11, 2021, at 8:30 p.m. was 1.98%, up from 1.70% on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at 8:30 p.m.

On Monday at 8:30 p.m., 234 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized, 4 more than on Wednesday. Through Wednesday, October 6, deaths numbered 8,667, an increase of 38 deaths since September 29. Deaths are reported once a week.

Cumulative cases in Middlebury and abutting towns were: Middlebury – 706 (+4) confirmed and 114 (no change) probable, Naugatuck – 3,577 confirmed and 479 probable, Oxford – 1,020 confirmed and 107 probable, Southbury – 1,410 confirmed and 272 probable, Woodbury – 634 confirmed and 112 probable, Watertown – 2,477 confirmed and 392 probable, and Waterbury – 16,099 confirmed and 2,120 probable.
