The state daily test positivity rate as of Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at 8:30 p.m. was 1.67%, down from 1.83% on Sunday, October 17, 2021, at 8:30 p.m.
On Wednesday at 8:30 p.m., 224 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized, 23 fewer than on Sunday. Through Wednesday, October 20, deaths numbered 8,721, an increase of 14 deaths since October 13. Deaths are reported once a week.
