The state daily test positivity rate as of Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at 8:30 p.m. was 2.25%, up from 1.64% on Sunday, October 31, 2021, at 8:30 p.m.

On Wednesday at 8:30 p.m., 209 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized, 4 more than on Sunday. Through Wednesday, November 3, deaths numbered 8,776, an increase of 25 deaths since October 27. Deaths are reported once a week.

Cumulative cases in Middlebury and abutting towns were: Middlebury – 717 (+1) confirmed and 113 (no change) probable, Naugatuck – 3,656 confirmed and 511 probable, Oxford – 1,064 confirmed and 111 probable, Southbury – 1,433 confirmed and 274 probable, Woodbury – 661 confirmed and 116 probable, Watertown – 2,525 confirmed and 406 probable, and Waterbury – 16,432 confirmed and 2,168 probable.
