The state daily test positivity rate as of Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at 8:30 p.m. was 2.55%, down from 2.89% on Sunday, November 14, 2021, at 8:30 p.m.

On Wednesday at 8:30 p.m., 241 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized, an increase of 3 patients since Sunday. Through Wednesday, November 17, deaths numbered 8,834, an increase of 25 deaths since November 10. Deaths are reported once a week.

Cumulative cases in Middlebury and abutting towns were: Middlebury – 736 (+8) confirmed and 115 (+1) probable, Naugatuck – 3,731 confirmed and 535 probable, Oxford – 1,099 confirmed and 112 probable, Southbury – 1,474 confirmed and 275 probable, Woodbury – 688 confirmed and 120 probable, Watertown – 2,594 confirmed and 412 probable, and Waterbury – 16,709 confirmed and 2,191 probable.
